“Be still, and know that I am God.” It is one of the shortest commands in Scripture, and one of the hardest to obey. Psalm 46 is not quiet — it opens with mountains shaking, waters roaring, and nations in uproar. The stillness it commands is spoken into chaos, not away from it. God is not asking us to be still because everything around us is calm. He is asking us to be still because He is God in the middle of what is not.

I designed Be Still to hold that tension on the wall, in a way that does not shout the verse at you. I wanted a piece that lets it settle the way the command itself is meant to settle — slowly, and only once you stop moving.

I made this for the rooms where stillness matters most: a desk before the day starts, a bedside table before sleep, a kitchen ledge where the noise of a full house finally narrows down to one verse. It is a small piece carrying a sentence that asks for everything.
